An exceptional square-shaped earthenware vase on a rectangular base by EDOURARD CAZAUX (1889 - 1974). The centre medallion is decorated with a green glazed relief figure of a woman set on a gold background.

Edouard Cazaux is one of the the most important ceramicists associated with the French Art Deco movement. His attention to detail and imaginative use of colour are trademarks of his work. By utilising oxides, platinum and gold Cazaux unites opulence with authentic artisanal skills.
